My name is Lionel.

I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

LIONEL'S TESTIMONY

Through the gift of this community, I am often reminded by the Lord that I am never alone in this journey as I pursue after His heart and that there are fellow sisters and brothers in Christ to support me in prayers through these challenging moments.

While living in community might be challenging as we begin to learn more about each other, this process of stretching can prove to be uncomfortable. Little did I know, that through this process, the Lord is slowly unveiling the inner wounds that I have grown numbed to and as He reveals, He heals, and He restores. Through the grace of the Lord, I am often encouraged to have a radical shift of my mindset from the community for myself, to myself for the community. In the words of St. Thomas Aquinas, “To love is to consistently choose and will the good of the other”. But this is a huge call, I still have much to learn of what it means to love selflessly, and I am hopeful that with the guidance of the Lord, it will be made possible.
